Imagining ourselves living without our eyes can be really terrifying. But, how about playing football without your eyes? Can we really make it? The answer is yes because there are people who have proven their ability to play football without their sight. The most prominent pioneer countries that have introduced this sport are Brazil and Spain which have been an organized sport since the first half of the 20th century. The first blind football tournament took place in Brazil fifty years later in 1974. Blind football has become a Paralympic sport which follows the rules according to the International Blind Sport Federation (IBSA) based on the standard soccer.

To win this game, the football team must to score as many goals as they could which is more than their opponent's team. Blind football is played by two teams of four players in the field and a goalkeeper. The ball used in this game is differ than the standard ball that we are used to play with as it contains a sound system inside so it is audible when it is moving. So, it will be easier for the players to detect the position of the ball. However, the goalkeeper is the only member of the team who can use their sight while playing and prevent the opponent from scoring any goal.
