UNDERWATER HOCKEY

Playing hockey across the bottom of swimming pool? It might sound ridiculous to us but to some people, underwater hockey is a type of water sport which is worth to try on. This game was created by Alan Blake in Southsea, (Portsmouth, United Kingdom) which is originally named as Octopush. This underwater hockey is a global non-contact water sport in which the teams have to complete to maneuver a puck/squid across the water into goals.


To win this game, the contestants have to make sure that they are strong swimmers who have a great ability in controlling their breath under water and they are able to swim in a great speed. Cooperation is one of the most crucial element that has to be implemented among the members of the team in order to win this game.
Six players are needed to represent each team for each round of the game.


All the players are trying to place the puck into their opponents' goal.


The tournament begins by placing the puck in the middle of the pool while the players wait in the same swimming pool, touching the wall above the goals that they are defending. When the buzzer starts to give a sign, all the contestants for both team are free to swim anywhere around the play area and start to score by maneuvring the puck into the opponents' goal. Once one of the team succeed to score, all the players will have to return to their wall to start a new point.

Some equipments that are needed to play this sport are snokel (1), ear guard (2), mask(3),fins (4), wooden stick (5), puck (6) and also gloves (7).
