MAN VERSUS HORSE RACE

Man versus horse race has been held annually in Wales since 1980 as a result of a pub bet at Neuadd Arms Hotel. The history started when Gordon Green, the Landlord has overheard to men discussing the relative merits of men and horses running over mountainous terrain. Gordon was too excited and decided to make it into a test in order to promote his hotel business. Normally, the number of man taking part in this race is bigger than the number of horses participating in this game.

It requires all the contestants to speed as fast
as they could to beat the horses.

In this game, all the man who are participating in this game will be given a chance to begin the race 15 minutes earlier before the horses start to be in the track and beat the contestants. Every year, the horse will be the expected winner of this game as it is unbeatable by any man. In some of the games, the horse only takes a few seconds to become the winner. However, nothing is impossible for a determined man who dreamed for a recorded victory. It took 25 years before a man finally beat a horse, Huw Lobb as he won beating the fastest horse by 2 minutes. His victory was only repeated three years later by Florien Holtinger but the horse has remained unbeaten for the seven years since.

A man and a horse battle it.

Comparing the speed of a horse and a normal human being can somehow sound really insane! But, we will not feel the enjoyment of this game until we dare to try it out isn't it?
